Join Us for a 3-Part Training Series on Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) 

Join us for a three-part virtual training series designed to equip Idaho Community Health Center staff with the tools and knowledge to recognize, respond to, and prevent Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). Each session offers practical, person-centered strategies to support patients and build safer environments. 

Training Schedule: 

Part 1: The Intersections of IPV 
 June 24th |  12:00–1:00 PM MST 
Explore how IPV connects with mental health, substance use, housing, and other social factors. 

Part 2: Responding to Disclosures 
 July 9th |  1:00–2:00 PM MST 
Learn how to respond with empathy and appropriate resources when patients disclose IPV. 

Part 3: Safety Planning 
 July 28th |  12:00–1:00 PM MST 
Discover how to create personalized safety plans in partnership with patients. 


Katrina Critchfield

Coordinator of Violence Prevention & Education

University of Idaho

Katrina Critchfield is a Coordinator of Violence Prevention & Education in the University of Idaho Violence Prevention Program. She first entered the field of violence prevention working as part of a local advocacy organization, Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse as a Community Domestic Violence Advocate and later as the Coordinator of the Sexual Assault program. Katrina centers her focus on creating safe, inclusive spaces for all survivors, advocating for their rights, and approaching violence prevention education through an intersectional lens.

Cori Damron

Acting Director of the Violence Prevention Programs

University of Idaho

Cori Damron is the Acting Director of the Violence Prevention Programs at the University of Idaho. She began her work in violence prevention in March 2022 and has since been dedicated to fostering a safer, more supportive campus environment through education, advocacy, and collaborative initiatives. Cori earned her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Florida, where she also completed specialized coursework in trauma and resiliency. Her work is grounded in a public health approach to violence prevention, emphasizing the importance of intersectionality, community engagement, and evidence-based strategies.
