Training Description:

Idaho’s Area Health Education Centers offer a variety of ways to connect with health care careers students interested in supporting rural, underserved communities. CHCs can play an integral role in supporting their journey while having them volunteer in ways that help patients, staff, clinicians and the broader community. There are also opportunities for providers to earn CE credits based on the types of trainings they are looking for through SWI AHEC which will be discussed as well.

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand how strategic partnerships with Idaho AHECs can support workforce development throughout CHCs.

2. Understand the purpose and function of Idaho AHECs and their 4 pillars of service: Scholars, continuing education, pipelines and partnerships
